THERE IS A BOX

There Is A Box is both the centerpiece and the premise of the exhibition. The composition extends beyond the face of the canvas and around its edges, turning the canvas itself into the box—and making the object as much a part of the work as the image painted on it.

BEYOND THE SURFACE

The work doesn't stop at the edge of the picture plane. Language wraps around the canvas, reinforcing the physical presence of the box itself.
